About Colwell Law

Justin Colwell has been a dedicated public servant since 2014. Mr. Colwell has served as a patrolman, Sheriff's Deputy, Criminal Investigator, and Deputy Director of the 31st Drug Task Force. Mr. Colwell's proudest titles are husband and father. 

Mr. Colwell has personally seen how legal challenges are a defining point in your and your family's life, and understands your case should be handled with the care you deserve. 

Years spent investigating complex criminal cases reinforced the importance of preparation, attention to detail, and understanding how evidence is gathered and evaluated. Those principles continue to shape every case handled by Colwell Law.

Justin Colwell graduated the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in Nashville, TN, in 2017. Mr. Colwell would go on to earn his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Bethel University. Mr. Colwell earned his Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law in 2025. 

Mr. Colwell has a deep understanding of the legal system. Additionally, throughout his public service, he has developed skills within the legal profession that enable him to navigate your needs with professionalism and finesse.
